CIA World Factbook Statistics

Ever wonder how countries rank by population per square mile or per capita gross domestic profit? You probably didn't until you came across the CIA's World Factbook.

After being hooked you want more. You want to know the per capita income per square mile of arable land and dozens of other strange and proably unrewarding rankings. That kind of thing is not in the book nor likely any place else in the world. Again the CIA comes to the rescue.

The company has included tab delimited files of everything they do rank. You can read these tables into any spreadsheet and add creating a multitude of useless rankings to your list of time wasting things to do with computers.

To get you started I have taken the liberty of putting them all into one spreadsheet. Right click and save. Each page has one of the files.

The caveat is this is in OpenOffice format. You will need the free software from OpenOffice.org. Since everything is free there is no room for complaints.
