Murder at Ruby Ridge

Even though the Justice Department has not released its year old report on events at Ruby Ridge it is hard to keep an explosive report under wraps. It appears the concerns people have had about it being an unjustified killing were not letting their imagination run wild enough. One thing stands out, it was premeditated murder by both the Marshals Service and the FBI.
To start with the marshals deliberately attracted the attention of the dogs and were chased by them. They were running away from the cabin and Weaver and his son and Harris were chasing the dogs with the expectation the dog was chasing a deer. At some point the marshals stopped running and set up a defensive position against the approaching men and that is when the shooting started.
Lets review the bidding here. We have three armed marshals being chased by some dogs that they wanted to chase them in order to kill them with (get this) a muffled machinegun. The dogs start chasing the marshals who run away. At some point they get tired of running. At this point, there has been no identification, nothing by these marshals.
They kill one dog. Sammy Weaver takes a shot at that marshal and runs away and another marshal shoots him in the back. Harris then kills that marshal and runs away.
The marshals knew from their five month surveillance the sequence of events when the dogs started barking, that they would be set loose and the men would follow with guns. Knowing this, they got the dogs to barking, ran down hill a way and then set up an ambush for the men.
No matter how you look at that, it is murder.
Then comes the FBI Hostage Rescue Team (if I am ever a hostage I'll take my chances with the gunman, thank you) with their orders to kill any armed man they see. There is no question of this, the orders were in government ease but that is what it meant. There were no qualifications such the men being a danger to anyone else or that they were shooting at the FBI. If you see them, shoot them were the orders. (If you missed it, the term "rules of engagement" is a polite term for orders.)
The arrive at 5 pm the next day. An hour later, both Harris and Weaver are wounded and Weaver's wife is dead. What is missing from this is that at no time did the FBI announce they had arrived. In other words, when Harris and Weaver went outside with guns, they did not know anyone was around. This was clearly a matter of summary execution for the "crime" of killing a marshal who had killed Weaver's son. This too is cold blooded, deliberate murder.
As I have been saying there are laws in this country of which we are unaware, secret laws, laws that hold this kind of behavior is legal. This is the report of the Justice Department. Its only action has been to reward the people who did this with promotions. There is has not been even a reprimand. This is not only legal but it is approved by the US Government.
So far as I am aware this is the first time there were official, written orders written by and given to federal government personnel to murder citizens. Why not everyone write to their congresscritters and ask them to get these laws repealed? Of course we do not know what laws they are but then finding them is part of what we pay them for.
