Christian treatment of Jews

As to the history of Christians and Jews, I want to make one point that will hopefully be remembered in every discussion of the subject. Christians treated Jews better than any other religion and better than they treated fellow Christians. That is a fact.

Worshippers of Odin and Zeus any other god or religion are completely gone, exterminated, eliminated, whatever. There are none around to whine about their treatment.

And many variations upon Christianity such as the Albegensians are completely gone. In many cases they were eliminated in mass slaughter but by slow attrition. The Inquistion got rid of many of those sects. While the Inquisition may have been unpleasant for Jews, they still exist. There was never any Christian attempt to eliminate Jews.

There were attempts to eliminate the church of England and Lutherans and vice versa. They only survived by military strength. Jews in Europe never has military strength but they survived.

This constant whining about how they were treated makes no sense at all when put in context. In context they were treated better than any other religion and better than Christian sects.

It does sound nasty out of context but in context it was the best possible treatment available.

And the few records available of Jewish treatment of Christians was not nearly as restrained.
